Perhaps you see yourself in the words of Isaiah:

“O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted.”
— Isaiah 54:11

Maybe the storms of life have battered you from every direction. Perhaps you have experienced disappointment, rejection, loss, betrayal, failure, or seasons of unanswered prayers. You may even be wondering, “Can anything good still come out of my life?”

My friend, perhaps you feel like the person described in these verses: "afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted." Maybe the storms of life have left you feeling battered and exhausted. Perhaps your world has been shaken, leaving you to wonder if anything good could ever be built from the broken pieces.

The story in Luke 2 is a profound moment in the life of Jesus, containing a powerful lesson for us today. When Jesus’s parents, Mary and Joseph, left Jerusalem, they assumed he was with them among the caravan of relatives and acquaintances. It was only after a full day's journey that they realized the unthinkable: Jesus was missing. They returned to Jerusalem and, after three days of frantic searching, they finally found him in the temple, "sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking questions" (Luke 2:46).

You didn’t learn to lie — it came naturally. Sin is in your blood. Only the blood of Jesus can wash you clean. 1 John 1:7

 Friend, Hell is real. Jesus spoke about it more than He spoke about Heaven. It was not prepared for you. “Then shall he say… Depart from me… into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” — Matthew 25:41. But if you reject Christ, you choose it.
