"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;" - Titus 2:11-12
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" - Romans 6:1-2

THE POPULAR ERROR
Today, grace is preached as freedom TO sin, not freedom FROM sin.
They say: "We are under grace, not under law! So you can dress anyhow, talk anyhow, live anyhow! God sees you through Christ, He doesn't see your sin! Once grace covers you, sin doesn't matter!"
Because of this twisted grace, fornication is now common in the choir. Sisters dress half-naked to church and say "God looks at the heart, not my dressing." Young people live together before marriage and say "We are under grace." Pastors commit adultery and say "Grace will cover me."
They have turned the grace of God into lasciviousness. Jude 1:4
This is not grace. This is disgrace. We must correct it.

THE POPULAR ERROR

Today, many Christians measure truth by crowd.

"This church is big, so it must be true! This preacher has millions of followers, so he cannot be wrong! This doctrine is popular, so it must be from God!"

Because of this error, many have left the narrow way that leads to life and followed the broad way that leads to destruction, simply because many are going that way.

"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." - Job 22:28

THE POPULAR ERROR

Today's preaching has become full of decrees:

"I decree! I declare! I decree that car is mine! I declare that contract must come! I decree heaven must obey me!"

Many preachers now teach Christians to command God. They say "Don't beg God, just decree!" So people shout at God, command God, and give orders to angels as if God is their houseboy.

Because of this, many Christians no longer pray with humility. They no longer say "If it be Thy will." They command, they decree, they declare, and when nothing happens, they become frustrated and backslide.

This is probably the most quoted verse on car stickers, T-shirts, and business signboards.

But how is it used?

"SUFFERING IS NOT ALWAYS FROM THE DEVIL - God Also Uses Suffering"

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings..." - 1 Peter 4:12-13

THE POPULAR ERROR
In many churches today, every suffering is blamed on the devil.
"If you are sick, it is the devil! If your business fails, it is the devil! If you are persecuted, it is the devil! Just bind the devil and you will be free!"
Because of this error, many Christians never grow. When suffering comes, they start binding and cursing witches, instead of asking, "Lord, what are you teaching me?"
Some suffering is from the devil, yes. But not ALL suffering is from the devil. Sometimes God Himself allows or brings suffering to purify us, to teach us, and to make us like Christ.
If every suffering is from the devil, then God is helpless, and the devil is more powerful than God. That is not true.
We must correct this error.

THE BIBLICAL TRUTH
1. God uses suffering to make us holy.
"But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." - Job 23:10
Gold is purified by fire. So also God uses the fire of suffering to purify His children.
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour..." - 1 Peter 1:7
If you never suffer, your faith will remain shallow.

"POVERTY IS NOT A CURSE AND WEALTH IS NOT PROOF OF GOD'S APPROVAL"

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." - 1 Timothy 6:10

THE POPULAR ERROR

One of the greatest errors in the modern church is this teaching:

"If you are poor, you are under a curse! If you are rich, God approves of you! A true child of God cannot be poor!"

Because of this error, the poor are despised in church. If a brother comes in a torn shirt, he is not allowed to sit in front. The rich are given special seats, special titles, and special prayers, even if they are living in sin.

And many Christians have joined cults, Yahoo, rituals, and stolen from their offices just to prove they are not under a curse. They want to be called "blessed" by man.

This teaching has made the church a place of money worship, not God worship. We must correct it.
