Let me say this with apostolic clarity and holy burden:
The Church has lost the Gospel while chasing miracles.
Today, many preachers don't preach salvation from sin — they preach life-hacks. Five
steps to get a car. Seven keys to get a visa. How to get a husband, how to get money, how to become successful.
Beloved, hear me: Jesus Christ did not leave heaven, suffer, bleed and die on a cursed cross to give you life-hacks. He died to redeem you from eternal death and coming judgment.
THE REAL REASON CHRIST DIED
"Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." — 1 Timothy 1:15
Not to make sinners rich. To save sinners.
"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." — Luke 19:10
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many." — Hebrews 9:27-28
The greatest problem of man is not poverty, barrenness, singleness, or joblessness. The greatest problem of man is SIN, DEATH, AND JUDGMENT.
You can have money and still go to hell.
You can have a big wedding and still go to hell.
You can have a visa to America and still go to hell.
You can be healed in your body and still go to hell if you are not redeemed.
What shall it profit a man if he gains all the miracles and loses his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
WE HAVE RAISED MIRACLE SEEKERS, NOT DISCIPLES
Jesus warned us:
"A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas." — Matthew 12:39
What was the sign of Jonas? The death, burial and resurrection!
Today's church is full of miracle seekers who don't know the Gospel. They can shout when a prophet gives them a phone number, but they cannot explain John 3:16. They know the anointing oil, but they don't know the atonement.
They come to church asking, "What will God do for me?" Instead of, "What has Christ already done for me on the cross?"
We have turned the sanctuary into a solution center and the pulpit into a motivational stage.
God is not a magician. He is a Redeemer.
MIRACLES ARE REAL — BUT THEY ARE NOT THE GOSPEL
I believe in miracles. I have seen God heal the sick, open wombs, deliver the oppressed in our ministry. God is still a miracle-working God!
But miracles are the mercy of God, not the message of God.
The MESSAGE is Christ crucified for our sins and risen for our justification.
"For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." — 1 Corinthians 2:2
"And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech... For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." — 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Miracles follow the Gospel. Miracles are not the Gospel. When you preach the Gospel, healing will happen. But when you only chase miracles, you lose both.
WE ARE NOT MIRACLE SEEKERS — WE ARE GOSPEL SHARERS
Apostle Paul said:
"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" — 1 Corinthians 9:16
Our calling is not to gather crowds looking for life-hacks. Our calling is to go into all the world and preach repentance and remission of sins in the name of Jesus. (Luke 24:47)
A miracle can change your circumstance for a moment.
Redemption changes your eternity forever.
A miracle can give you a child.
Redemption gives you a new birth and makes you a child of God.
A miracle can give you money in your pocket.
Redemption gives you an inheritance in heaven that fades not away.
FINAL CALL — RETURN TO THE OLD GOSPEL
America, Africa, Europe, hear me:
Christ did not die to make you a better version of yourself.
He died to make you a new creature and to deliver you from the wrath to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:10)
We must return to preaching:
- Sin and Righteousness, not just success and strategy
- The Cross and the Blood, not just keys and principles
- Repentance and Faith, not just declaration and manifestation
- Eternal Judgment and Eternal Life, not just earthly breakthrough
If your gospel does not tell a sinner how to be saved from hell, it is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a life-coaching seminar with Bible verses.
I am not a miracle seeker. I am a Gospel sharer. I was rescued to rescue others.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth." — Romans 1:16
Come to Jesus today — not just for what He can give you, but for who He is. He is your Redeemer!
