5 THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU DON'T PRAY FOR YOUR SPOUSE
Many people pray FOR marriage, but after wedding, they stop praying FOR their spouse.
You will fast for job, fast for visa, fast for money — but when last did you kneel down and say "God, keep my husband"? "God, help my wife"?
When you don't pray for your spouse, this is what happens:
1. You will fight the person instead of fighting the spirit behind the person.
Your husband is not your enemy. Your wife is not your enemy.
There is a spirit that wants to steal peace from homes. If you don't pray, you will think your spouse is the problem, when the real problem is spiritual.
2. Small issues will become big issues.
What prayer would have solved in 5 minutes, will take 5 weeks of malice.
Because you didn't pray, offense entered. Because you didn't pray, pride stayed. Prayer softens what quarrel hardens.
3. Outsiders will have more influence than you.
When you don't cover your spouse in prayer, you leave them open.
Other voices — mother-in-law, friends, office colleagues, social media — will speak louder than you.
But when you pray, God puts a hedge.
4. You will get tired of each other easily.
Love is not enough. Love without prayer gets tired.
Prayer renews love. Every time you pray for your spouse, God gives you fresh eyes to see them again.
5. The devil will have easy access to your home.
A prayerless home is a porous home.
A prayerless marriage is a playground for the enemy.
If you don't build your home with prayer, the devil will build confusion inside it.
Tonight, do this:
Don't complain about your spouse. Pray for them.
Lay hand on their pillow and say: "Father, bless my husband/wife. Keep him/her. Let your will be done in his/her life."
You can't hate who you genuinely pray for.
Start tonight. Your marriage needs your prayers more than your complaints.
