Thou shalt MAKE NO
COVENANT WITH THEM, nor with their gods.
They shall not dwell in
thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it
will surely be a snare unto thee. Exodus 23:32-33.
Marriage covenants mostly MUST be
with men and women of the same faith.
In marriage covenant families, people
are not just involved, God or gods are involved too. See Ruth1:15-16.
And she said, Behold,
thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou
after thy sister in law.
And Ruth said, Intreat
me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou
goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my
people, and thy God my God:
When a Christian woman gets married
to a pagan man, his gods becomes your god. You have become an idolater through
the covenant of marriage.
Consciously entering into unholy
alliances and covenants will definitely create a snare for you. Think twice
before you say YES. The problem with so many Christians today is that they say
YES too quick and say NO too slow.
Neither shalt thou make
marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his
daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
For they will turn away
thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of
the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. Deuteronomy 7:3-4.
Unholy matrimony breeds Gods anger.
Stay clear.
As Apostle Advised: Stand
fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not
entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1
Be ye not unequally yoked together
with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness? 2Corienthians 6:14.
Nothing in an unbeliever to lure a
Christian into marriage union. When a professing Christian gets attracted to an
unbeliever, it is either that he or she was never actually a true Christian or
enticed by the fleshy needs. Do not be enticed into a communion with darkness.
It is an unequal yoke. Christians have no marital union with unbelievers. When
you make a wrong union in marriage blame it on yourself. Apostle James said: “--- every
man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed”. (James
1:14) John the Beloved explained the source in His epistle saying: “For all
that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world”.( 1John 2:16). But
Apostle Paul offered the Solution: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye
shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh”. (Galatians 5:16)
The Psalmist Looked at the ordeal of
the children of Israel and wrote:
They did
not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them:
But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
And they
served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel,
and were brought low for their iniquity. Psalm 106:34-43.

Psalm
106:34-43 is the danger of unholy alliances, covenants and associations.
