Fear has become a dangerous tool in
the hand of the devil with which he lures men in all evil vises against God.
Ones Satan gets your attention through this evil and deceptive fear; he can
almost get you to do his bindings. One of the things Jesus’ death offered us is
boldness and triumph base on the truth of the word of God. Satanic fear will
send you far away from your God if not properly handled.
With whom the LORD had made a
covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow
yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: But the LORD, who
brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out
arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do
sacrifice. And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the
commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and
ye shall not fear other gods. And the covenant that I have made with you ye
shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. But the LORD your God ye
shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. Howbeit
they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner. 2 Kings 17:35-40.
What you fear you will eventually
bow down to.
God is still saying: “And I said
unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose
land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice”. (Judges6:10) It is a command. Do not fear the gods of the
people of the land where you dwell. Fear is worship in disguise.
God made this clearer through
prophet Isaiah Saying:
For the LORD spake thus to me with
a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this
people, saying,
Say ye not, A confederacy, to all
them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear,
nor be afraid.
Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let
him be your fear, and let him be your dread. Isaiah
8:11-13.
The Man Caleb admonished the Israelite saying: “Only rebel not ye
against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread
for us: their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them
not”.(Numbers 14:9). When you accord undue fear on something or somebody with
disregard to Gods word. It becomes rebellion against God and as such idolatry.
The danger is in 1Samuel 15:23.. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the
word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee …”
Whatsoever God wants you to be can
be dwarfed or cut off through fear, rebellion and idolatry. Run to The BLOOD OF
JESUS now and clean up.
